Mom just got a call from the nurse.... we're about half way through -- approximately two more hours. Everything seems to be going well. Last thing dad said to the surgeon: Please put my skull back together straight. I don't want a crooked head.
The picture was also taken last night. He has a pretty good shaped head. :)
Thank you for the updates for those of us who couldn't be there but are there in mind and spirit. Thinking of you guys. Praying for David.

Today is Dave’s surgery day,
At the J we wait… hope…. and pray.
Waiting is hard, we want good news,
Dave’s situation has given us the blues.
We depend on Dave; he’s our “go to” guy,
Now we are saddened by his illness and asking why???
Hope can be a bright and shining light,
We are comforted to know he’ll give a good fight.
We all do things differently or just not the same,
As for a prayer today, we’ll just think his name.

Our positive energies are sent his way,
We are thinking good thoughts on Dave’s surgery day.
